Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Administrator with a strong focus on Microsoft Security Products to join our dynamic team. As a Cybersecurity Administrator, you will play a critical role in protecting our organization's systems and data by implementing and managing robust cybersecurity measures, particularly those provided by Microsoft security solutions. Your expertise in Microsoft Security Products will be essential in safeguarding our infrastructure, networks, and sensitive information from evolving cyber threats. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
Implement and manage Microsoft Security Products: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Microsoft security solutions, including but not limited to Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender ATP, Azure Active Directory, Azure Sentinel, and Microsoft Cloud App Security, to implement, configure, and manage these products effectively. Cybersecurity Operations: Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs generated by Microsoft Security Products, investigate potential security incidents, and respond to emerging threats in a timely manner. Security Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery, utilizing Microsoft Security Products to mitigate the impact of security incidents and minimize system downtime. Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, leveraging Microsoft tools, to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across our systems and applications. Security Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and Microsoft's security guidelines. Security Awareness and Training: Promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness by developing and delivering security awareness programs, training sessions, and materials to educate employees on Microsoft Security Products and safe computing practices. Security Auditing and Compliance: Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards, leveraging Microsoft compliance tools and frameworks. Stay Current with Industry Trends: Continuously monitor the evolving cybersecurity landscape, including emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends related to Microsoft Security Products, and provide recommendations for enhancing our security posture.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is highly desirable. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, MCSE: Security, A+, Network+, and Security+, CCNA) are highly desirable. 1-2 years of proven experience in cybersecurity administration, with a strong focus on implementing and managing Microsoft Security Products in complex environments. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Security Products, including Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender ATP, Azure Active Directory, Azure Sentinel, and Microsoft Cloud App Security, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services, Tiered Microsoft Active Directory. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft PowerShell scripting. Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and CIS Controls. Experience with security incident response, vulnerability management, and security auditing using Microsoft security tools. Familiarity with cloud computing environments, particularly Microsoft Azure, and their security implications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify risks, and recommend appropriate security measures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, especially those related to Microsoft Security Products.
