Title and Summary
Lead Software Engineer F/T
Overview Perform systems design and analysis, solution definition, development, testing and implementation of various client-server, web-based software application system of internal Mastercard Products and software solutions offerings, intended to reach and support billions of credit card transactions per month
Role Provide database/software modeling work and maintenance coverage for specific core software applications. Analyze requirements and work closely with colleagues in overall governance and creation of detailed software designs that are congruent with internal paradigms. Deliver software solutions by providing day-to-day technical leadership and mentorship for a team of other developers as well as contributing hands-on to the development of the software. Develop innovative new approaches to complex design problems and identify product solutions gaps to innovate new technology. Furthermore, responsible for overseeing testing and implementation of product solutions and solve technical gaps where needed.
About You Position requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Comp Science, Comp / Elctrcl / Elctrnc / Mchncl / Indstrl Engineering, Mnagmnt Info Systems, Business Admin, or related tech field and three (3) years of experience in job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Engineer, Software Developer, Technical Lead, Programmer Analyst or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Applied Comp Science, Comp / Elctrcl / Elctrnc / Mchncl / Indstrl Engineering, Mnagmnt Info Systems, Business Admin, or related tech field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience. Qualifying experience must include one (1) year with each of the following: JAVA, CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES, DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATIONS, JAVASCRIPT, OBJECTIVE-C, NODE.JS, AGILE, .NET, CHEF, ANSIBLE. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
