Position Summary BGI is seeking an experienced
EHS Manager
for a
short-term 1099 contract
to support a key project based in
Oklahoma . While contractors may reside anywhere in the United States,
onsite presence in Oklahoma is required for the duration of the project . The ideal candidate has deep EHS experience in
construction or energy generation , strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive safety compliance in the field.
Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and lead EHS programs aligned with site and regulatory requirements Conduct safety audits, inspections, and training for field personnel Monitor compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards Investigate incidents and support root cause analysis Provide safety leadership and guidance to project teams Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely reporting of EHS metrics Required Qualifications
10+ years of EHS experience , including
construction or energy generation
projects 5+ years in an EHS management or supervisory role BCSP certification preferred
(e.g., CSP, CHST) Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS best practices OSHA 30 certification required Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
energy generation environments Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field Master's degree or advanced safety certifications a plus Additional Details
Per diem is included Estimated contract duration: 6 to 12 months Must be able to travel and remain onsite in
Oklahoma
during the project This is a
1099 independent contractor role ; benefits are not provided Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
