Business Development Lead | Metric Geo | Transportation Engineering

A leading infrastructure and transportation firm is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to take on a leadership role in project planning, design, and execution . This is a prime opportunity for an experienced engineer to influence high-profile projects, guide junior engineers, and collaborate with diverse teams to drive successful project outcomes.

• Lead major infrastructure projects that shape communities and transportation networks.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams on complex and high-impact initiatives.
• Client-facing role with opportunities to manage relationships and present strategic solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise to elevate project success.

Provide engineering consultation in planning, design, and project coordination.

Develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specifications .

Lead client communication, proposal coordination, and project presentations .

Oversee project execution, including quality control, field reviews, and site observations .

Ensure technical accuracy by reviewing and guiding the work of junior engineers.

Manage scopes, budgets, and schedules, potentially leading small multidisciplinary teams .

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

7+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations .

Proficiency in engineering production software and construction document preparation .

Proven ability to navigate challenging issues in a professional, solution-driven manner .

Experience managing parts of large-scale projects or multiple mid-sized projects.

Strong leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship experience.
