Overview
The Mixer Operator is responsible for making batches of material in accordance with specifications. The role involves weighing materials, cleaning the mixing area, and troubleshooting any mixing problems. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary. Responsibilities
Review the Mixing Schedule and produce batches as scheduled. Inspect reconditioned drums prior to use. Dump batches from mixers and communicate with the previous mixer man for any special instructions. Follow the Mixing Procedure to produce standard production batches. Notify the Group Leader and QA of any abnormalities such as suspect non-conforming raw material or equipment issues. Maintain correct identification on batches and complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely. Inform the Manager of any unidentified or mis-identified batches, safety concerns, or maintenance issues. Keep the work area neat and clean. Run the process to maximize product quality and output. Ensure safety apparatuses are in place and follow FIFO for raw materials. Handle hazardous waste as required and perform real-time reporting in SAP. Communicate effectively with team members and perform inspections and tests on drums and batches. Operate a forklift. Train new Mixer Operator Trainees and make trial batches for Research & Development and Product Development. Manufacture highly critical products as designated. Essential Skills
Mixing, Batching, Compounding, and Chemical handling. Machine operation and blending with 1-3 years of experience. Forklift operation and production experience. Batch production and batch documentation skills. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly. Comfortable working in a facility with strong odor. Able to pass skills key test and audiogram test. Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Prior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experience. Prior mixing and batching experience. Forklift experience (optional). Chemical manufacturing experience. Why Work Here?

Work in a chemical plant primarily producing automotive materials. The climate-controlled environment includes exposure to moving equipment, noise, fumes, vibrations, and dust. Shifts are available on a contract-to-hire basis, with potential overtime based on business needs. Safety PPE, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, and earbuds, are provided. Training may be required on 1st or 2nd shift due to the lack of trainers on 3rd shift. ***Starting $23.25/hr for 2nd and 3rd shift + based pay increase after first year in Evansville, IN!!!***
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.25 - $23.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
