Job Description Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours
Experience: 1 year as an Interventional Radiology Technologist License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Radiology
Must-Have: - RCIS or ARRT Radiology - California radiology technologist license (if ARRT(R)) - 1 year of experience as an IR Tech
Description: Follows clearly defined procedures to support cardiologists and radiologists in the execution and technical analysis of procedures performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab. Integrates education, technical competence, and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise treatment under the supervision of a cardiologist. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care. May be responsible for mentoring and training students.
