With an exciting pipeline of multifamily projects in Arlington/Alexandria, they're looking for a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support large-scale developments and grow with a collaborative, hands-on team.
Job Description
The Emerging Project Manager - Multifamily | Northern Virginia will be responsible for:
Supporting the Project Manager in planning and managing all construction phases Preparing and maintaining key documents, including budgets, schedules, and contracts Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients to keep everyone aligned Conducting regular site visits to oversee safety, quality, and schedule adherence Monitoring budgets, tracking expenses, and managing financial reporting Managing procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment Updating project schedules using software like Procore and Microsoft Project Organizing and leading project meetings, following up on action items Handling change orders, RFIs, and submittals throughout the project lifecycle Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards Documenting daily progress, milestones, and field updates for reporting purposes Collaborating with field teams and resolving on-site issues alongside the Superintendent Managing administrative duties including document control, filing, and data entry MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The Emerging Project Manager - Multifamily | Northern Virginia will have:
Over 5 years of experience supporting or managing construction projects Solid knowledge of modern construction methods, practices, and sequencing Experience with multifamily residential projects is preferred Skilled at reading and interpreting construction drawings, specs, and technical documents Proficient in project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or Bluebeam Strong communication skills for collaborating with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients Excellent time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with building codes, permitting, and safety regulations Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as required Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred What's on Offer
