Radiology Position
The mission of the Department of Radiology is to create a world-class department by providing optimal care in a patient-centered environment, providing sub-specialty expertise, providing top quality imaging and therapeutic procedures, and to advance medical education and research, with a vision to create a department that is recognized as top tier nationally and internationally. To provide sub-specialized musculoskeletal imaging interpretations and interventions, with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. This musculoskeletal radiology position will train residents and fellows within our large, highly productive radiology department. Position Responsibilities: Teaching
Provide training to medical students, residents and fellows, who rotate through the Department of Radiology. Research - Maintain professional relationships and collaboration with the specialists in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as other departments to foster interdisciplinary research. Service
Time and effort is expected to be devoted to academic service-related activities. This shall include School of Medicine, VCU Health and departmental committee work, professional growth, and other such assignments. Clinical
Provide high quality, sub-specialized musculoskeletal imaging interpretations and interventions for assigned modalities in support of the referring physicians and patients of VCUHS. Required Qualifications: ABR certification or documentation of passing the Core Component of the ABR Board examination Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty at VCU.
