JHNA is currently seeking a talented Systems Administrator to support our NAVAIR government customer in Patuxent River, MD. This position will require on-site/in person support. Overview
JHNA is currently seeking a talented Systems Administrator to support our NAVAIR government customer in Patuxent River, MD. This position will require on-site/in person support.
Responsibilities
System Administrator with demonstrated experience performing System Administration functions on Aircraft or Weapons Systems networks, and maintaining and upgrading network infrastructures across the NAVAIR community. Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users. Provide technical assistance to computer users. Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network system. Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption. Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities. Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages. Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution. Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning. Perform other job-related tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Must have current Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret. Interim TS to start. U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance At least 3-5 years of experience needed. Familiarity with the following: Windows Server VMware/vSphere Enterprise SAN Networking COMPTIA Security+ or other DOD INST 8570 compliant qualification required. Operating system certification (i.e. Windows or Linux). Knowledge of networking principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
JHNA is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employees. The salary range for this position is $70,000- $95,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. JHNA/TSA provides for the welfare of its employees and their dependents through a comprehensive benefits program by offering healthcare benefits, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance programs, and education and training assistance .
