Position: Network Systems Engineer
This position is responsible for effective provisioning of client-side networks. Responsible for the configuration, implementation, maintenance, and migration of client networks and devices. Configure network switches, next gen firewalls, wireless devices, and VPN. Install and maintain new and existing structured cabling at customer sites. Work with communication vendors to ensure reliable internet connectivity for Logical Net clients. Strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, Cybersecurity, desktop operating systems, and structured cabling is required.
This position is an integral member of the Logical Net engineering group and Network Team. Communication and collaboration with clients, account management, senior engineering, and first level support staff is critical in this role. Local and regional travel (NY, NJ, PA) is required.

Competencies:
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrated experience deploying and managing next gen firewalls, switches and WIFI systems
• Strong knowledge TCP/IP networks, VLANs and subnetting.
• Experience configuring secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections
• Proficiency configuring, managing and troubleshooting DNS
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting network issues.
• Exception attention to detail and ability to follow change control process in production environments
• Experience installing, terminating and testing structured network cabling
• Documentations skills and the ability to create and maintain policies and procedures
• Ability to maintain system updates, patches, and configuration backups
• Ability to support multiple clients and prioritize effectively
• Knowledge of Fortinet FortiGate firewall and Ubiquity Unifi WIFI platform a plus.
• Clean driving record and ability to operate a service van
