This role involves hands-on experience with eDiscovery best practices, data manipulation, and quality control under the guidance of a Senior Data Specialist. Responsibilities: In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Senior Data Specialist that will support your growth and development. You will gain hands on experience in areas such as: Conversion services, quality control, and database indexing. Creates and modifies files for upload into COTS products and performs individual file conversion in support of electronic file processing. Ensure the accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion by performing and documenting quality and accuracy checks. Perform basic tasks related to exporting data from contractor and DOJ databases. Qualifications: Required: Requires some experience with the applications being supported. Knowledge of file manipulation applications and experience with LAW, IPRO, ICONECT, CONCORDANCE, and Relativity, is extremely helpful. Knowledge of Governments IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server based applications very helpful. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred: Undergraduate degree preferred; preferably in the computer science or information management/technology fields. Technical certification valued. Coursework in technical disciplines (programming/scripting, systems administration, and database management). Ability to perform quality control analysis and report any issues with the data. Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail, and ability to perform tasks accurately and quickly. Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on site with government clients. eDiscovery experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, similar to the duties and responsibilities described. Requires basic job knowledge of systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education. Typically has 3 years of experience. May require vocational or technical education in addition to related work experience.
