Providing guidance and expertise on IT processes, tools, technologies, and service improvement programs Recording and developing solutions for complex technology, process, and integration issues for clients Leading a team in providing day-to-day technical, project, and process support and expertise for internal and external clients Managing relationships with clients; keeping the management team abreast of client needs Providing consulting and expertise to analyze and evaluate complex customer solutions on large, technically challenging projects and business strategies Experience as a liaison between vendor/partner, internal engineering, and product management stakeholders Test and certify new versions and features of ONTAP according to customer requirements Review existing system configurations and explore areas to consolidate and optimize Document standard system configurations and processes according to customer requirements Liaison between storage engineering and storage operations teams: may include support escalations (not to replace SAM functionality), knowledge transfer for new capabilities, collaborate on planning and design phases for operations initiatives (migrations/upgrades/BCP events) Collaboration with architecture team, feature enhancements, and new functionality Define storage requirements for processes and tasks which may be automated via portal and workflows Base level scripting to simplify operations for routine manual operations work THE IDEAL PERSON FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:
Experience deploying and administering NetApp ONTAP – troubleshooting performance issues, using storage management tools Proficient understanding of NetApp storage concepts and related storage technologies (Snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, Metro Cluster, Fabric Pool) including monitoring and troubleshooting, administration, replication technologies, security hardening, and performance tuning A thorough understanding of other components in the infrastructure stack – compute, virtualization, and network Strong understanding of file storage protocols and technologies (CIFS, NFS) Working knowledge of monitoring platforms, WANs, backup, and disaster recovery platforms Infrastructure design, build, deployment, and disaster recovery planning Proficient in designing system upgrades/in-system replacements of FAS hardware clusters Experience in using and creating automation including: PowerShell/Python scripts, Ansible Playbooks, and Terraform would be highly regarded Experience in these storage technologies would be highly regarded: VAST, Oracle ZFS, Cloud Insights, Datadobi Experience working in a regulated industry and navigating compliant processes ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ROLE:
