System Administrator
KBR is seeking an experienced
Systems Administrator (Secret Clearance)
to support Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) efforts related to Aviation Product Lifecycle Management (AvPLM), who will provide System Administration support for the AvPLM IPT and its customers. You will maintain IT infrastructure through installing and configuring software, monitoring and troubleshooting issues within the environments, and ensuring IT security utilizing DoD policies, in addition to other tasks. As a SA, setting up and maintaining the infrastructure will be your primary focus but you may regularly interact with other Infrastructure Administration sub-teams to support the AvPLM Cloud environments as well as a litany of supporting applications (to include Siemens Teamcenter PLM suite and eQube MI). To support this, you will work alongside other sub-team SAs as well as members from the Applications Administration team to perform a variety of infrastructure and integration activities. This will include collaboration with the AWS GovCloud hosted system boundary for the AvPLM environments as well as use of AWS Cloud Native Services to perform normal daily duties.
Responsibilities
Perform daily checks of IT systems. Triage, monitor, and work NAVAIR National Help Desk support tickets. Complete Configuration Change Control Board (CCB) requests. Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in an unclassified network environment for applications, databases, integrations, or infrastructure as assigned. Support Windows Server builds and have the ability to harden systems to be in compliance with DoD RMF policies. Perform security monitoring and maintain security patches and updates on Windows servers, using ACAS/Nessus vulnerability management to maintain compliance. Support Windows Server performance monitoring, including monitoring disk space, resource utilization, capacity, and availability. Provide troubleshooting support using application/server logs and Windows logs. Coordinate outsourced help requests. Assist with coordination of Maintenance Scheduling. Assist with license and subscription management. Possess the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Attend and contribute to Teams collaboration meetings for new requirements, troubleshooting/diagnosis, monitoring, and server-side application support. Assist with documenting processes and procedures and keeping documentation updated. Provide weekend and after hours support as required.
Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience:
A bachelors degree in an IT-related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering) and 2+ years of experience. Additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Clearance & Citizenship:
U.S. Citizenship required. Must have an active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain & maintain Top Secret clearance. A completed Single Scope Background Investigation is preferred.
Certification:
Must have a CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting the DoD community.
Operating System Certification
This position offers a flexible remote working environment.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40 hours/week
Compensation:
$80,190- $120,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
