The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the management of care for the Nephrology patients in accordance with mutually agreed upon protocols and within the policies and procedures established by the Department of Nursing, the American Nurses Association, and NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group (NYPMG). The Nurse Practitioner provides quality and comprehensive care, services and follow-up to patients; support the physicians in the Nephrology department and collaborates with all members of the health care team. Rounding is done at the in-patient locations and at the Dialysis centers; Now, you have the opportunity to join us by stepping into this exciting role. This is a full-time, 40-hour work week position at the Hudson Valley Medical Group with in-patient rounding. Hours may vary. Preferred Criteria • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team • 2+ years experience as a Nurse Practitioner • National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialty Required Criteria: • BSN • Master's degree in Advanced Practice in area of specialty • Current NYS RN license • Current NYS NP license in area of specialty • BLS through the AHA
