American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Float Pool position requiring 18 months of recent cardiac stepdown experience and rotating day/night shifts.Job Details•Work in the stepdown float pool of a hospital setting,•Cares for cardiac stepdown patient population,•Day/night rotating shifts, typically 3x12 hours (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am),•Assignments start on day shift with potential for scheduled rotation as needed,•Float pool position covers multiple units as required,•Requires work at least every other holiday,Job Requirements•Active permanent Ohio RN license or Compact license in hand,•AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active,•Minimum 18 months permanent experience in stepdown/cardiac stepdown prior to travel,•Reference from a supervisor, manager, assistant nurse manager, or director in specialty required,•Pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation,•No open criminal background cases and no license hits accepted,Additional Information•Primary duties include caring for cardiac stepdown patients and floating between units as operationally needed,•Orientation includes ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety testing,•Qualivis - Lotus system used for submitting hours worked,•Annual and pre-start training modules are required and tracked through Silkroad,•Permanent and per diem candidates must wait 1 year after previous assignment at this health system before returning,•PAPRs are only permitted with approved medical or religious exemption for caregivers with facial hair,•Onsite fingerprinting and badging must be completed before start date,•First-time travelers are accepted
