$150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr My client is seeking a results-driven
Director of Engineering
to lead its multidisciplinary engineering team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all engineering functions, including NPD & sustaining, and will play a key role in developing business strategy; apply today! My client is a leading manufacturer of metal products, primarily serving retail & commercial building customers. They are on the rise in a big way; leadership has been pushing for diversification of their product portfolio, and has set exciting goals for growth, both organically and through strategic acquisition! They seek a talented Director of Engineering to join and lead a team of Engineers, and play a pivotal role in the future growth of the business. Come join them on their journey to the top! Description Lead cross-functional engineering projects including product development, customization, and continuous improvement efforts Translate customer and market requirements into actionable technical specifications Collaborate closely with operations teams to implement process improvements and support lean manufacturing initiatives Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering strong technical and project management capabilities Partner with executive leadership and commercial teams to support product roadmap planning and execution Ensure all products meet applicable certifications, regulations, and industry standards Oversee product testing, certification processes, and patent filings as applicable Develop and manage the engineering budget, aligning technical resources with strategic priorities Profile Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing or product development environment Strong project management skills and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget Experience collaborating with operations and manufacturing teams to support product launch and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) Proven ability to build and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering teams Effective communicator who can bridge technical and business perspectives Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (Master's preferred) 6+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, ideally including Director-level roles Background in engineered products, construction materials, industrial equipment, or related sectors preferred Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to manufactured products Job Offer Base salary $170,000 - $200,000 Depending on Experience 15% annual bonus target Annual profit-sharing cash bonus 10% 401k match after 1 year of service More!
