Ob Hospitalist Group was founded on the vision and commitment that every expectant mother presenting to labor and delivery would receive consistent, unconditional, quality medical care from an experienced clinician. Today, we are the largest and only dedicated OB/GYN hospitalist employer in the nation. Less than two hours from Columbus and only an hour south of beautiful Lake Erie and Toledo, Lima is the perfect location to see the best of Ohio. Lima was one of the very first cities to discover oil in 1885, kicking off the huge oil boom coined the "Oil Boom of Northwest Ohio". Step back in time by visiting the historic John H. Keller Memorial Railway exhibit, which pays tribute to Lima's railray industry. Another don't miss is the Veterans Memorial Freedom Flag Monument which boasts the largest permanant American flag monument in the United States. With beautiful scenery at 89-acre Faurot Park, a growing arts scene, and historic buildings, Lima is full of small town charm. Mercy Health - St. Rita’s Medical Center (SRMC) has been providing care to west central Ohio since 1918. OB/GYNs at SRMC pride themselves on providing preconception care and prenatal care to birthing classes and postpartum support. SRMC also has OB/GYN's in the hospital 24 hours a day and offers high tech fetal monitoring, pain management services, maternal fetal medicine, and lactation services. However, we have a Family Medicine Residency clinic who sees OB patients and delivers here. OB Hospitalists will back up those residents. Backup Available to the Hospitalists: Yes.
