About the Youth Programs:
TASC’s Youth Services programs provide prevention and early intervention for youth and young adults involved with the juvenile justice system. Our services promote health, education, and development through evidence-based curricula focused on HIV/STD/teen pregnancy prevention, life skills, and wellness.
Position Summary:
In this role, you’ll provide direct services to youth at the Evening Reporting Center and IYC Chicago. You’ll lead group sessions, deliver life skills training, and support wellness-focused programming. You’ll also provide administrative support to TASC’s youth programming across Juvenile Justice Sites.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate educational and life skills groups focused on healthy relationships, decision-making, self-esteem, and wellness Deliver HIV/STD/teen pregnancy prevention curriculum Conduct assessments and make referrals to health and human service providers Provide training to new staff and support curriculum fidelity Assist with administrative duties, including reporting, filing, and documentation Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with internal and external partners Collect urine specimens per TASC protocols for toxicology testing Submit timely reports, timesheets, and supply requests
Our Ideal Candidate
High school diploma or GED equivalent CADC certification may be required within two years of employment, depending on contractual obligations At least two years of experience in HIV/AIDS prevention or working with youth Skilled in group facilitation and youth counseling Ability to effectively address topics such as substance abuse, self-image, LGBTQ+ issues, and stress management Strong verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with the juvenile justice system (preferred) Comfortable working with diverse and multicultural populations Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (as required)
