Overview
Sheppard Pratt School in Rockville is a nonpublic special education day school serving students ages 5-21 (grades K-12) with a range of needs including autism, development delay, emotional disability, multiple disabilities, other health impairments, specific learning disability, and speech or language impairments. Our small class sizes and individualized instruction ensure that students receive the attention and support they need to succeed academically and emotionally. Our team provides a supportive and structured environment that integrates specialized academic instruction, counseling, transition services, and behavioral modification tailored to each student's unique needs.
What to expect.
You will
instruct students according to lesson plans for academic work
which have been prepared by the regular teacher.
Specific responsibilities include:
Maintaining a structured and safe classroom
and learning environment to promote the wellbeing of each student. Implementing
lesson plans
and
individualized goals and objectives Following
student behavior intervention
plans as outlined. Communicating with students based on the
developmental needs of the student population .

The pay range for this position is $ 19.86/hr. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
Bachelor's degree. 1 month of work experience.
