Overview
Designing and developing tools and applications to automate data collection, processing, and analysis tasks from a wide range of metrology, inspection and characterization tools
Collaborating with material scientists, process engineers, optical engineers, designers to understand the underlying principles of metrology and optics experiments and develop appropriate data analysis strategies
Developing and maintaining databases to store and manage experimental data and metadata
Applying machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of data analysis tasks
Developing visualizations and reports to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders
Staying up-to-date with advances in data science, machine learning, and metrology and optics research
Participating in cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments and interpret results
Continuously improving processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and quality of data analysis tasks
Conducting exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and relationships in the data
Develop specification documents, engage with suppliers enablement of new metrology algorithm solutions
Collaborate with the larger research team to develop, execute on test strategy, provide critical metrology data insights for optical design verification, validation and experimentation
Drive method transfers to internal and external partners to support technology research, exploration and development
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Optics
Demonstrated Programming skills in languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools NumPy, Matplotlib etc.,
2+ years of experience in optical components performance metrology algorithm development, testing, optical characterization, spectroscopy and evaluation in a lab or clean room environment
Familiarity with material & process metrology, inspection, optical metrology tools for nanofabrication and display performance
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: MS/Ph.D. in the field of Optical Sciences, Optical Engineering or related field
2+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis
Demonstrated programming skills in languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++
Knowledge of wide range of metrology and optics principles and techniques
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Experience with database management systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
Proven track record of developing and implementing data analysis solutions that drive business impact
Public Compensation: $111,000/year to $164,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Industry:
