We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Test Analyst to support the Customer Information System (CIS) and Work and Asset Management (WAM) projects. This role is focused on developing, executing, and validating SQL-based testing scenarios to ensure data accuracy, application stability, and system performance. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in database testing and collaborates cross-functionally to uphold data integrity across critical enterprise platforms.
Responsibilities
– Design and execute SQL scripts and procedures to validate database functionality and performance
– Review database designs for alignment with organizational standards in security, maintainability, and efficiency
– Test database objects such as functions, views, triggers, and stored procedures
– Analyze and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy and integrity
– Report, reproduce, and document defects across database and related systems
– Collaborate with developers and data modelers to optimize design and resolve defects
– Validate data migrations and ETL processes
– Monitor performance metrics and suggest enhancements
– Develop and maintain test plans and documentation for SQL testing
– Contribute to broader QA strategies through integration of database testing best practices
– Stay informed of evolving SQL technologies and practices
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field
SAP CIS testing experience
– 6+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Tester or equivalent
– Strong understanding of relational database structures and performance principles
– Proficiency with tools such as SQL Server, Oracle, Toad, and JIRA
– Familiarity with ETL processes and associated testing methods
– Experience with enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP (Oracle), WAM (Maximo/Clevest), CIS (SAP), and legacy systems
– Knowledge of test management tools such as SharePoint, QMetry, HP Quality Center, or Zephyr
– Experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Unix, XML)
– Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
– Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and collaborate with global teams and vendor partners
– Utility Industry Experience Preferred But Not Required
