Full-time, On-site *Accepting all levels of experience.* POSITION SUMMARY Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a
DevSecOps
Engineer to support government systems by implementing secure software development practices, automating infrastructure, and managing containerized deployment pipelines in high-availability, classified environments. In this role, you will design, build, and secure
DevSecOps
workflows that ensure continuous integration and delivery of mission-ready software. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and system integrators to ensure that all code, infrastructure, and operations meet stringent security and compliance standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to): Build and
maintain
CI/CD pipelines
and containerized environments using tools like OpenShift and GitLab CI within secure enclaves. Automate configuration management
and infrastructure provisioning using Ansible and infrastructure-as-code (
IaC
) tools. Deploy and manage microservices architectures
with Kubernetes, Rancher, and related orchestration platforms. Secure development workflows
by applying
DevSecOps
principles, including static and dynamic code analysis. Integrate event-driven systems
such as Kafka and APIs into mission-critical applications.
REQUIR
ED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Must
possess
an active Department of Defen
se (DoD) Top Secret security clearance with
SCI eligibility.
DoD polygraph preferred.
Strong
expertise
in container orchestration and CI/CD automation,
including Docker, Kubernetes, and tools like GitLab or Jenkins. Familiarity with Kubernetes security best practices
and SCAP compliance standards. Skilled in scripting and automation
to support secure development pipelines. Experience integrating event-streaming platforms
such as Kafka. Security+ or CEH certification
is a plus.
