Assertive Community Treatment Program (ACT)
Part-Time: Monday & Tuesdays 9am-5pm
Based in Glen Cove, but requires travel throughout Nassau County
Hourly Rate: $17 - $20/hour

Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (NYCPS)
to join our Glen Cove team on a part-time basis. If you have lived experience and a commitment to helping others on their recovery journey, we'd love to hear from you.
Position Summary:
As a Peer Specialist you'll provide vital peer support services tailored to each client's treatment plan. Your lived experience will serve as a powerful tool to inspire, guide, and support others through their own recovery journey.
Responsibilities: Provide peer-to-peer engagement, orientation, education, and advocacy. Offer mentoring, outreach, and recovery support to individuals and families. Help clients navigate systems of care, including medical appointments, court appearances, and other services. Assist with applications for benefits and entitlements. Model effective coping strategies and self-monitoring tools. Act as a positive role model to encourage hope, resilience, and empowerment.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Current NYS Certified Peer Specialist (NYCPS) or Provisional certification required. Strong knowledge of addiction recovery services and community resources. Demonstrated commitment to the recovery community. Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
