Payroll Analyst

$55k - $60k
Position Overview:
The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all restaurant locations within the group. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Analyst:
Accurately process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in pay rates. Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and company policies, including tax reporting, garnishments, and benefits deductions. Generate and distribute payroll reports to management, including labor cost analysis, overtime, and other key metrics. Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues promptly, providing support to employees regarding payroll inquiries. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency. Work closely with HR, Accounting, and Restaurant Management teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and support overall financial objectives.
Required Experience/Skills for the Payroll Analyst:
Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compliance Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Payroll Analyst:
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma is required. Associate's degree is preferred.
