Actalent is hiring a PCB Designer for a reputable company, within Aerospace, Defense, Industrial industries, around the Newtown, PA area. Company offers full time benefits, as well as a flexible schedule (can work a hybrid schedule). The PCB Designer will be responsible for designing and performing layouts of digital and analog PCB Boards. This role requires expertise in PCB component placement, routing, and design release documentation. The designer will also be tasked with creating component footprints and symbols for the Master Component Library, maintaining PCB design processes, evaluating schematic design quality, and supporting schematic capture for layout conversion. Design reviews and documentation release are essential parts of this role. Responsibilities Perform routing of complex HDI PCBs. Design and perform layout of digital and analog PCB Boards. Conduct PCB component placement and routing. Prepare design release documentation for Printed Circuit Boards. Design component footprints and symbols for the Master Component Library. Maintain PCB design engineering processes. Evaluate the quality of schematic design and support schematic capture for layout conversion. Conduct design reviews and release design documentation. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years experience in PCB design, Altium, Zuken, CADSTAR/eCADSTAR or other design packages/tools (required) Layer experience from 6-30. (required) Experience with layout of mixed analog and digital designs, high-power integrated circuits, DDR, DC-DC converters, and high-speed impedance-controlled traces. Knowledge of PCB manufacturing process and technologies. Experience with design for DFM/DFT. Experience with all design processes from concept to delivery Experience with scripting and automation. Work Environment The work environment is based in Newtown, PA, and requires the candidate to be local enough to come on-site as needed. The facility focuses on flight test instrumentation work, including commercial aircraft and military data recording. The role involves working with various sensors and battery-powered air vehicles, offering a dynamic and technologically advanced setting. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $67.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
