Position Specific Description The position, Recruitment Number 25-121TY, is a Court Operations Specialist V (Human Resources Supervisor), SR-24, located in Honolulu, Oahu. Note: A valid driver’s license is required. The role is assigned to Human Resources Unit #3 in the First Circuit, Administrative Services Division, responsible for employee development for First Circuit employees. Responsibilities include assisting the Court Services Manager in developing, coordinating, and implementing projects for employee development, engagement, and retention. The position also evaluates current operations to recommend modifications to policies, standards, and work methods for effective human resources programs. Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience on a year-for-year basis. Specialized Experience:
2.5 years of professional work in analyzing, evaluating, developing managerial policies, or related court/legal administrative work, including roles like court administrator, social worker, HR specialist, etc. Staff Specialist or Supervisory Experience:
1 year of supervisory or staff specialist experience in program development, evaluation, or management, including supervising professional staff or providing advisory services. Administrative Aptitude:
Demonstrated ability in planning, organizing, and managing programs or projects, with evidence from work assignments or training. Substitution of Education:
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in related fields or law degree can substitute for 1.5 or 2.5 years of experience respectively. Driver’s License:
Must have a valid driver’s license. Desired Qualifications Experience in human resources, personnel inquiries, and investigations.
