Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
to join our multidisciplinary team in
Little Rock, AR
. This vital role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in both the assessment and management of acute and chronic psychiatric conditions.
As an APRN at APC, you will collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, prescribing medications, and providing ongoing management of care. You will also engage in patient education, health promotion, and preventive care efforts to support long-term wellness and empower patients in their recovery journey.
Additionally, this position involves active participation in quality improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with all regulatory standards, helping us maintain excellence in clinical care.

What does the Advance Practice Registered Nurse?

The APRN will utilize advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic skills daily to evaluate patient conditions accurately and develop effective treatment plans. Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care. Proficiency in using electronic health records facilitates efficient documentation and information sharing. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities enable the APRN to manage complex cases and adapt care plans as needed. Additionally, leadership and organizational skills support participation in quality improvement projects and adherence to regulatory requirements, enhancing overall healthcare delivery.

Conduct thorough patient assessments including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing. Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state laws and organizational policies. Provide patient education on disease management, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices. Document patient encounters accurately and maintain detailed medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes. Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement activities to enhance clinical practice.
Qualifications
Current and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Arkansas. Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Anesthetist, or Nurse Midwife by a nationally recognized certifying body. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting.
Physical Demands
This job requires employees to have a full range of physical capabilities, including the ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, and maintain good eye-hand coordination. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range are also required.
