Go to next pageA New York City-basedprivate organization is looking to add a Chinese-speaking, licensed Physician, with a Family and/or Internal Medicine background, to join their staff at one of their facilities on Staten Island.
Responsibilities:
The Family / Internal Medicine Physician will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions
- Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
- Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients
- Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary
- Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Immunizing patients against preventable diseases
- Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results
- Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary
- Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary
- Participating in network activities such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessions
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications: - Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified in Family and/or InternalMedicine
- Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin)
- DEA license
