We focus particularly on supporting underserved and vulnerable communities. We are currently looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner to play a vital role in our mission. Your Role: As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work under the direction of a physician, planning, evaluating, and delivering health care services to patients. Your emphasis on preventive health measures and patient education will make a significant impact. Here’s what you’ll be doing: Taking patient histories and performing physical examinations. Administering immunizations and providing health education and counseling. Ordering and conducting necessary lab work and tests. Prescribing treatments for minor illnesses and collaborating with physicians on complex cases. Documenting care accurately and following up on critical health issues. Participating in case conferences and continuing education for professional development. Engaging in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Meeting productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards while upholding infection control protocols. Minimum Education and Experience: - Master’s Degree required. - At least 5-8 years of relevant work experience, with a strong preference for candidates with over 8 years. - Valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York State and current CPR/BLS certification. Preferred Skills: Proficiency in diagnostic and treatment procedures relevant to the responsibilities of nurse practitioners. Strong ability to collaborate with a healthcare team to maintain high quality care. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Why Sun River Health?
