LAFC is invested in the worlds game and Los Angeles, constructing and developing the 22,000 seat BMO Stadium and a top-flight training center on the campus of Cal-State Los Angeles.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Event Manager is the main liaison between the organization and internal and external clients of BMO Stadium. This role involves organizing, coordinating, and supporting various departments to ensure the safe and seamless execution of each event. The position reports to the Director, Events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the execution of LAFC and Angel City FC matches and other major sporting events at BMO Stadium.
- Facilitate communication across departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop operational plans aligning promoter and event needs with venue requirements.
- Coordinate with LAFC staff for production and match day needs.
- Assist with soccer match tasks, ensuring MLS compliance.
- Interface with vendors and city agencies for permits.
- Create master schedules including stadium conversion and timelines.
- Conduct production meetings to communicate event requirements.
- Manage event expenses and budgets.
- Develop concepts, budgets, and maintain event documentation.
- Crosstrain for other events at the stadium.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree required.
- 3-5 years experience in event management within sports/entertainment.
- Knowledge of Major League Soccer and stadium operations.
- Experience with contracts and compliance.
- Detail-oriented with strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information.
- Positive attitude and leadership skills.
- Effective communication in English; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
SALARY RANGE
The compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience and skills.
