Northeastern State University (NSU) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic adjunct instructor to teach General Physical Science during the upcoming academic term. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction to undergraduate students and foster a positive and engaging learning environment. Responsibilities: Teach one or more sections of General Physical Science (lecture and/or lab) and a lab in Physics, following departmental guidelines and curriculum. Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessments in alignment with the course syllabus. Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in person (or hybrid, if applicable). Maintain student records, assess student performance, and submit grades in a timely manner. Be available to students during designated office hours for support and guidance. Collaborate with department faculty as needed to ensure consistent academic standards. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Physical Science or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution. Prior teaching experience at the college level (preferred). Strong communication and organizational skills. Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or related discipline. Experience teaching General Physical Science. Familiarity with instructional technology and learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard).
