Patio Worker Ann Road Location
Patio Workers are important members of the Star Nursery team. In addition to providing outstanding customer service, our Patio Workers are positioned among the plants and are responsible for unloading, watering, merchandising and general plant upkeep along with providing quality control & a clean/safe workplace & shopping experience for our customers. Job Description Follows operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete /on-time service Follows policies in the areas of operations techniques, materials usage & safety Plant Maintenance: Watering, Pruning & Cleaning Plants Loading and unloading plant material Product quality control Stocking / labeling Product moves & re-organization Store upkeep Performs other related duties as assigned Skills: Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan in short- and long-term ranges The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level Strong ability to interact in a positive manner Exceptional Customer Service Strong team player Commitment to company values Ability to follow directions as well as work independently to achieve goals and complete assigned tasks Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather Physical Aspects of the Job Frequently bending, twisting and rotating trunk, arms and legs Standing 100% of the time/walking 99% of the time/climbing 10% of the time Working with arms extended and bent constantly Frequently moving parts and stock weighing up to 35 pounds, 10 to 50 feet Occasionally moving parts and stock weighing up to 50 pounds; pushing and pulling Frequently moving merchandise weighing 10 to 25 pounds from floor to counter Occasionally moving and stocking overhead shelves with parts weighing 5 to 15 pounds Constant gross hand and finger dexterity; frequently grasping and manipulating Constant hand and eye coordination Qualifications
