Osborn Engineering . Overview of Position Osborn Engineering is seeking highly skilled Traffic Engineers with 10-20 years of experience on ODOT-type design projects for our Cleveland, Ohio office. This position reports to the Manager of Transportation Engineering and collaborates with the Director of Municipal and Transportation Engineering, along with our Transportation Project Managers and engineering staff, to meet and exceed client expectations in a timely manner. Founded in 1892, Osborn Engineering specializes in roads and bridges and is one of the oldest and most respected engineering firms in the country. Today, it is a fully integrated multi-disciplinary design firm with a team of over 300 professionals providing comprehensive design services across various engineering fields. Our Infrastructure Group contributes to numerous signature projects in Northeast Ohio. Position Responsibilities Collaborate with Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers to design and develop roadway/highway improvement projects across Ohio and Florida. Model and develop traffic improvement solutions for local roads, highways, and interstates. Conduct traffic control studies and design, including lane and roadway reconfiguration, interchange modifications, ITS, MOT, signalization, pavement marking/striping, and signing. Apply critical thinking to develop, evaluate, select, and modify engineering standards and techniques. Maintain client and sub-consultant communication regarding current projects and studies. Occasionally perform field construction observation and respond to RFIs during construction phases. Job Requirements/Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. 10+ years of experience in transportation project delivery. PE License in Ohio. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of AASHTO and ODOT Design Criteria. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, Geopak, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Commitment to ongoing learning and training.
