Overview: Presbyterian is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for filling medication orders, pre-packaging, compounding pharmaceuticals, refilling stock supplies, delivering medication, and performing various clerical duties as required.This role is essential in supporting the pharmacy operations and ensuring excellent service to our patients.Type of Opportunity: Part Time (0.75 FTE/30 hours per week)Work Schedule: Varied Days and HoursSign on bonusavailable for qualified candidates.How you grow, learn and thrive matters here.Educational and career development options, including tuition and certification reimbursement, scholarship opportunitiesWearable duress alarm technology (a wearable badge that allows staff to quickly and discreetly call for help when safety is a concern)Shift differentials for nights and weekendsDifferentials for higher education, certifications and various lead rolesMalpractice liability insuranceLoan forgiveness through theNew Mexico Higher Education DepartmentEPIC electronic charting system Responsibilities: Performs all non-sterile medication ordering, preparation, and dispensing activities, including, but not limited to:Filling medication orders for inpatient and outpatient areas of the facilityUse of pharmacy technology Pyxis, Pharmogistics, CII safe Non-sterile compounding, labeling and repackaging.Non-sterile unit dose packagingCart, tray, and kit preparation.Handling of non-sterile hazardous medicationsProper waste or disposalMaintains required record-keeping for controlled and non-controlled substances.Delivers supplies to the patient unit and ancillary areas. Answers telephone and responds to questions and problems. Checks stock on a regular basis to identify and reorder outdated stock and ensures that stock is maintained in accordance with manufacturer requirements. Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances. Performs other functions as required or assigned.
