Our Engineering Systems team is hiring Software Engineers to help us improve the developer experience for engineers at Snowflake. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technology and an amazing team as you build, test, deploy and operate the tools and services we create to help Snowflake engineers build the industry-leading AI Data Cloud. If you like the idea of helping other engineers be more productive, we would love to talk to you! AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER, YOU WILL: Design and build features, and/or distributed platforms at scale. Drive impactful initiatives for the globally distributed infrastructure Collaborate with product managers, architects, other engineering teams, and business groups, to drive end-to-end solutions. Contribute to improving our engineering processes, tooling, and standards. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: 2-5 years' of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale systems in production. Excellent fundamental computer science skills, deep knowledge of algorithms and data structures. Fluency in at least one of these languages Go, C++, Java or Python. Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing Deep multi-faceted appreciation in building end-to-end customer facing products. A passion for building internal engineering systems, or developer productivity tools. BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience. BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE: Experience with SQL. Operating systems - especially Linux. Experience building programming languages, compilers, platform libraries, SDKs, or language run-times. Deep experience working with internal or external developer tools, developer productivity, or engineering systems. Kubernetes and containerization. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
