Project Manager Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Project Manager coordinates, inspects, and controls the work of construction contractors at our facilities. The role ensures strict adherence to safety & environmental standards, regulations, and project specifications. Projects include electrical, civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and control engineering disciplines. Travel across the region is required (up to 60% with limited overnight stays). Responsibilities Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and contracts, and that work is completed on schedule and within budget. Ensure contractors, subcontractors, and their employees comply with safety & environmental regulations and contract requirements. Attend pre-bid and preconstruction meetings, documenting minutes. Prepare job planning documentation in collaboration with project stakeholders. Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, regulations, and codes. Prepare and submit daily reports on health & safety, environmental, and construction progress. Recommend corrective actions and work plan adjustments to management as issues arise. Assess safety & environmental discussions and daily job plans. Conduct safety and environmental observations on medium and high-risk work. Attend contractor safety and environmental meetings. Conduct post-work evaluations regarding safety, environmental, technical, project management, and financial performance. Requirements Basic knowledge to inspect in-progress construction work for compliance with contract documents, specifications, permits, and drawings. Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects. Strong communication skills for interfacing with internal teams and external organizations. Good negotiation skills with clients, contractors, and vendors. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Practical, adaptable, collaborative, and solution-focused approach. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or applicable BS Engineering Technology with 5 years’ experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required. 3-5 years of experience in engineering or construction management. Experience in hydropower, wind power, or power generation preferred. Field experience related to hazards of the work. Training in occupational health & safety and environmental regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. This position requires a valid driver's license and a motor vehicle report (MVR) for selected candidates.
