full-time Cardiology Nurse Practitioner
to join our dedicated and collegial team in Easton, Maryland. In this role, you’ll work alongside a skilled group of cardiologists and hospitalists to deliver exceptional inpatient cardiovascular care in a supportive, patient-centered setting.

Job Description
Clinical Highlights:
Outpatient cardiology-focused role within a regional medical center Collaborate with cardiologists, interventionalists, and APP team Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of acute and chronic cardiac conditions Demonstrates competence in clinical assessment and decision -making including diagnostic reasoning and problem solving. Performs comprehensive history and physical assessment for patients in practice setting. Orders, obtains and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests. Establishes medical diagnosis based on history, assessment, and diagnostic findings. Designs, orders and documents appropriate treatment plans/plans of care including prescriptions of medications based on a comprehensive review of HPI and diagnostic results. Initiates protocols/clinical pathways, evaluates the plan of care ensuring timely intervention. Incorporates the patient and family in their healthcare plan; communicates plan of care with the patients and family members. Provides patient and family instruction related to the plan of care, disease process, new treatment plans, and medication regimens. Counsels and educates patients and family members in disease process, health maintenance and health promotion activities. Provides primary, secondary, and tertiary preventive care services.

Qualifications
Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required. Possesses and maintains current Board Certification of Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology or Acute Care certified preferred Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required. Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility. Experience in cardiology, ICU, or inpatient hospitalist settings strongly preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, and team-based care skills

Compensation:
Pay Range: $104,416.00 - $144,102 (Compensation is determined based on years of experience as an advanced practice provider).
