We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for meal preparation, proper food handling, and supporting menu planning in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This is a
day shift
position, with typical shifts scheduled from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food Cook and plate menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards Assist in the development of new menu items and specials Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations Requirements
Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or relevant role Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques Familiarity with fine dining and catering practices Understanding of kitchen sanitation and food safety guidelines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork skills Certification from a culinary school or relevant field is a plus
