Base pay range
$60.00/hr - $70.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Insight Global As the Principal Angular Lead, you will be the strategic and technical authority for Angular development across FTSE Russell. You will drive the evolution of Angular standards, best practices, and architectural consistency across multiple development teams. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of front-end engineering, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and high-performing Angular applications that align with business goals. You will collaborate with engineering leads, architects, and product stakeholders to define and enforce Angular development guidelines, mentor teams, and champion innovation in the Angular ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to influence the direction of enterprise-scale Angular applications and uplift the overall engineering maturity of the organization. Key Responsibilities Govern Angular Development Standards: Define, document, and enforce Angular coding standards, architectural patterns, and reusable component libraries across teams. Cross-Team Alignment: Work with multiple development teams to ensure consistent implementation of Angular practices, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. Thought Leadership: Act as a visionary and advocate for Angular best practices, emerging trends, and tooling improvements. Represent the organization in Angular communities and conferences where appropriate. Mentorship & Coaching: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Angular developers of all levels, conducting code reviews, workshops, and training sessions. Innovation & Strategy: Evaluate and introduce new Angular features, libraries, and tools that can improve developer productivity and application performance. Quality & Performance: Champion test-driven development, performance optimization, and accessibility standards in Angular applications. Collaboration: Partner with backend, DevOps, UX, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of front-end solutions. Proven experience as a senior or principal Angular developer, with 6+ years of Angular (v2+) experience in enterprise environments. Deep understanding of Angular architecture, RxJS, state management (e.g., NgRx), and component-driven development. Experience leading Angular development across multiple teams or large-scale applications. Strong knowledge of TypeScript, HTML5, SCSS/CSS, and modern front-end tooling. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and performance profiling tools. Experience with GraphQL via Apollo Client Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with design systems and component libraries. Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and micro-frontend architectures. Experience with monorepo architectures (e.g., Nx). Familiarity with UX/UI design tools (e.g., Figma) and charting libraries (e.g., D3, Chart.js). Background in financial services or other regulated industries is a plus. Compensation: $60/hr to $70/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
