Job Overview:
The Senior Research Scientist/Principal Scientist will play an integral role in maintaining and growing the operations and customer base by engaging in study design and execution, supporting the method development and analysis of various samples. The Senior Research/Principal Scientist will perform studies/assays independently while delivering exceptional quality with a high attention-to-detail and ensuring client expectations are met.
You will serve as the PI and SD for PK studies.
Responsibilities:
Designs studies that meet sponsors' needs, or internal needs, in a scientifically sound manner. Responsible for method development and qualification to support the analyses of samples generated as part of pre-clinical pharmacokinetic and in vitro studies using LC-MS/MS. Authors and executes study protocols with turn around times that meet sponsor expectations. Analyzes data, and drafts study reports including PK parameters. Peer review of data Coordinates with cross-functional teams including project management, and in vivo teams to ensure quick turnaround and timely delivery of data and reports. Attends sponsor meetings to present data and recommendations on study design and execution Takes an active role in solving problems and trouble-shooting studies. Assists in calibration, repair and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Supervises and mentors a team of up to five scientists Interacts with different cross functional teams, including other scientists, management, vendors, and sales/marketing teams. Manages project timelines and provides updates to sponsors and the PM team
What We're Looking For:
PhD or Masters' degree in pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences or a related analytical field. Minimum of 5 years of Development and PK bioanalytical testing experience Minimum of 5 years of (U)HPLC-MS experience (Sciex or Waters experience preferred). You will have method development experience with LC/MS as part of your role Minimum of 3 years of experience with LCMS method development for complex molecules like peptides and oligonucleotide Knowledge of PK studies and associated sample analysis of preclinical PK study samples for multiple species and matrices Familiarity with additional analytical platforms, such as HPLC with conventional detection methods, is preferred. Excellent technical writing, communication, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
