Lead Data Architect / Developer
to support and enhance our current data infrastructure while helping to design and implement a modern, cloud-based data platform. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys both maintaining mission-critical systems and building innovative solutions from the ground up. In the near term, you will play a key role in supporting and optimizing an existing
SQL Server 2017
environment, ensuring stability and performance for ongoing business operations. At the same time, you’ll contribute to the planning and development of a next-generation data platform in
Microsoft Azure , including architecture, integration, and reporting solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of technologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape the future of a dynamic data ecosystem—while ensuring continuity and reliability of current systems. Strong communication skills
are essential, as you will partner with various departments to achieve milestones. The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is preferred. Support and maintain the existing SQL Server 2017 environment, ensuring data availability, performance, and reliability. Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions in Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.). Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations using modern tools and practices. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models for business intelligence and reporting needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. Ensure data quality, security, and governance across platforms. Document architecture, workflows, and processes to support maintainability and knowledge transfer. Monitor and troubleshoot data systems and integrations proactively. Contribute to the planning and execution of the data platform migration strategy. Stay current with Azure data technologies and recommend innovations. Understand and troubleshoot SQL, SQL Server databases, Python code, and APIs. Required Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of experience in data engineering, development, or database administration. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.). Strong background in SQL Server: performance tuning, stored procedures, and design. Proven experience with Power BI dashboards and data models. Hands-on with T-SQL, Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, Python, and API technologies. Experience in building ETL/ELT pipelines and integrating data systems. Track record of supporting and modernizing legacy systems while transitioning to the cloud. Familiarity with various database types including RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL), NoSQL, and columnar databases. Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments. Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions in cross-functional teams. Industry background in real estate, construction, or accounting is a plus. Exposure to CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps). Skills & Core Competencies Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Solid grasp of data structures and software design patterns. Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
