Come be a part of our mission. Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Tier III Network Engineer to join our team based in Aurora, Colorado at Buckley SFB. The Network Engineer will support the customer’s computer data communications systems, providing design specifications, testing, and inspections for computer networks; planning and implementing upgrades; as well as analyzing and organizing hardware and software solutions through network modeling. About the program : As a Network Engineer, you’ll be joining an existing on-contract classified program called Broadside supporting critical national security missions. The team in Aurora, CO, and Chantilly, VA, supports a prime contractor with over 300 team members. The role involves WAN/LAN development, maintenance, installation, design, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network hardware and software, including security measures, and supporting network connectivity and issue resolution. Staff at Principal (T03) and Senior Principal (T04) levels are expected to quickly gain mission and system domain knowledge, mentor others, and contribute to program objectives. This position may be filled at either level based on the candidate’s qualifications. Basic Qualifications for a Principal Network Engineer Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of Network Engineering experience, or Master's degree with 4 years of experience Active/current Top Secret/SCI clearance with adjudicated CI or Full Scope Polygraph Active/current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent 8570 certification At least 4 years of Network Engineering experience with Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Network Engineer Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of Network Engineering experience, or Master's degree with 6 years of experience Active/current Top Secret/SCI clearance with adjudicated CI or Full Scope Polygraph Active/current Security+ certification or equivalent At least 4 years of Network Engineering experience with Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment Preferred Qualifications 6+ years of experience with network hardware and software, demonstrating proficiency Experience with enterprise and classified networks Strong communication and technical documentation skills Experience mentoring and collaborating in teams Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds occasionally Availability to support after hours and weekends as needed Salary Range: $100,300 - $150,500 Salary Range 2: $124,900 - $187,300 The salary depends on factors such as experience, education, and market conditions.
