This position is responsible for providing technical leadership, expertise, and guidance related to architectural standards, design, development, integration, and implementation of software solutions that enable our Tampa International Airport business partners to achieve their objectives. The Solutions Architect will lead our organization’s ERP strategy design and execution, ensuring it effectively supports business processes and objectives. The role involves strategic planning, leading implementation initiatives, and continuous improvement of ERP solutions to optimize data integrity, operational efficiency, and business outcomes. The position requires a strong technical background in ERP applications, application development, project/program management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to align applications with business needs, manage vendor relationships, and lead support teams. It is expected that this leader will help our organization stay current with the latest ERP market trends, including cloud ERP, platform-as-a-service, and embedded AI capabilities. This is an individual contributor and leadership role reporting to the Director of IT Applications. COMPENSATION
$115,000 and up based on experience POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide architecture design and governance expertise, collaborating with stakeholders across business and IT to achieve company objectives. Oversee and control production support, governance, instance management, access controls, technology platform, and disaster recovery. Work with the Program Management Office, Business Analysts, Applications Development, IT Security, and Infrastructure/Network teams to deliver technology solutions supporting regulatory, financial, and decision-making processes. Define the future state of the enterprise through facilitation and assistance efforts. Guide the transition from current to future architecture via collaboration and architectural roadmaps. Ensure governance of industry and company software standards and practices. Create prototypes, reference architectures, and define effective solutions. Stay updated on industry trends and lead R&D efforts through proof-of-concept implementations and workshops. Provide guidance, coaching, and assessments for IT teams and initiatives. Develop prototypes and demonstrate solutions aligned with organizational objectives and market competitiveness. Analyze existing systems through interviews with SMEs to develop current state architecture and future state definitions. Perform gap analysis to identify points of failure, capabilities, capacity, fault tolerance, SLAs, and change windows. Collaborate with IT groups to create and modify technology standards and practices. Champion product and solution design, adhering to industry best practices. Communicate effectively using various skills and methods. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems analysis, or related field, or equivalent experience. 7-10 years of IT experience, with at least five in a leadership role managing enterprise applications. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Extensive experience with ERP systems like Oracle ERP. Proficiency in object-oriented programming, relational databases, documentation, testing, and system integration. Deep knowledge of enterprise platforms and cloud computing, with strategic planning skills. Experience migrating Oracle ERP systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud. Experience with SaaS integration tools like Oracle Integration Cloud or similar APIs. Oracle Cloud certification is a plus. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, project management, and analytical skills. Understanding of financial principles and budget management.
