Role Overview
Mastercard is seeking a talented Senior Principal Data Architect to lead the architecture design and development of our Finance infrastructure. You will oversee all finance systems, including Billing, Financial Planning, Accounting, Settlement, Treasury, and Reporting and Analytics. Collaborating with senior leaders, you will align technology architecture with business objectives and drive modernization using cloud, data, and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture strategy and design for finance systems.
- Build scalable, secure, and resilient architectures aligned with business goals.
- Drive innovation in finance technology, leveraging cloud and automation.
- Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to ensure performance, security, and operational needs are met.
- Identify and implement new architectural patterns and methodologies.
- Design holistic platform security posture, proactively identifying risks.
About You
- Extensive experience leading large global projects and managing talent across geographies.
- Deep knowledge of data lifecycle management, modeling, and governance in regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, lakes, and related tools.
- Proven thought leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex architecture to stakeholders.
- Experience in resilience, automation, performance engineering, and cloud architecture.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 15+ years of engineering experience in software or data fields.
- Experience with financial systems like Oracle Financials, Fusion Cloud, Hyperion is a plus.
