Position Summary/ Department Summary
Reporting to the Director, Program Strategy & Development for Immersive Design Systems, leads the department wide process improvement initiatives and technical projects. Uses systems thinking and collaborates with team members and customers alike to identify, develop, and implement increasingly efficient systems and processes that save time, reduce cost, and/or improve patient/customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Provides experiential expertise to assist with problem-solving for complex, multi-disciplinary and interrelated problems. Collaborates with Director to establish business and operations goals and objectives. Applies the principles of continuous quality assessment, process improvement and high reliability in delivery of services, through assessment and monitoring of program processes, and systems. Assesses the current processes within Immersive Design Systems; helps identify ideal state for the processes in alignment with departmental goals and develops the plan to improve the current processes towards the ideal state goal. Participates in appropriate Health Affairs and Hospital based groups to learn about upcoming changes to assess the impact of the changes on the processes and systems and implement appropriate process changes to support new requirements. Plans, manages, and coordinates multiple process improvement projects to ensure that objective of project are accomplished within prescribed timeframe. Provides direction and guidance to multidisciplinary team members on creation of project deliverables and ensures that new processes contain and use continuous improvement methodologies. Ensures the efficient capture, maintenance and reporting of data to facilitate continual improvements in processes. Develops and implements key measures for tracking performance and uses quantitative data to facilitate operational change. Creates a customer-friendly and healthy work environment in support of employee engagement and well-being through system improvements. Provides and ensures the highest level of service to all customers (internal and external) as demonstrated through the core values of the enterprise. Engages staff to align where possible with Children’s Hospital Enterprise Goals, in collaboration with the Health Affairs management teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree requires (Area of Study Required: Healthcare, or a related field. Area of Study Preferred: Engineering, Coding, Computer Science, Business
Experience
Work Experience Required - 5 years of relevant program/project management and continuous process improvement experience Work Experience Preferred- 5 years’ experience in healthcare or academic setting and/or governance, preferred.
