Why This Role Be part of a large, globally integrated team representing issuers and underwriters in public and private securities offerings across North America, Europe, Asia, and emerging markets. Diverse Deal Exposure: Work on offerings for BDCs, sovereign issuers, and life sciences companies; handle private placements, IPOs, and debt capital markets deals for some of the most innovative financial players. Leadership-Level Role: Whether you join as a senior associate or counsel, you’ll drive key aspects of transactions and collaborate directly with clients on regulatory and strategic structuring decisions. This capital markets group is consistently recognized by Bloomberg, The Legal 500, and IFLR1000 for its work with institutional clients and cutting-edge fund sponsors. Ideal Candidate Profile 3+ years of capital markets experience at a major law firm Deep familiarity with ’33 and ’34 Act compliance, disclosure, and SEC reporting Experience representing BDCs or other 1940 Act vehicles is a plus Ready to take ownership of due diligence, drafting, and deal execution Team-oriented mindset with strong writing, communication, and client-facing skills Admission to practice in NY or DC preferred Salary range starting at $260,000, commensurate with class year and experience Discretionary performance bonuses Hybrid flexibility and professional development support About Whistler Partners Matchmakers, Not Headhunters Whistler Partners is a boutique matchmaking firm focused on counseling the best and the brightest attorneys over the course of their careers.
