Description Welder Setup Operator - Full Time Location: Indianapolis, SW Pay: Varies on experience, weld-test Schedule: 1st - 5:00AM-3:30PM, 2nd - 3:30PM-2:00AM - Monday-Friday Status: Non-exempt | Immediate Openings Job Summary: We're hiring a TIG Welders to set up and run MIG and/or TIG welding equipment for production orders. In this hands-on role, you'll work with tooling, setup sheets, and blueprints to produce quality parts that meet customer expectations. Ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, welding experience, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Set up MIG and/or TIG welders using setup sheets and routing packages Inspect and approve setup pieces before running production Perform welds to meet quality specifications Use gauges, templates, calipers, and blueprints to verify weld quality Watch for common issues (burn through, cold starts, lack of penetration, etc.) Document production output, scrap, or rework Move parts with a pallet jack to the next step in production Support engineering with process development or tooling trials Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement efforts Requirements: Certified in TIG welding (or ability to obtain certification) Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop math Ability to read blueprints and detailed instructions Experience using measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges) Must pass the Setup Test Must have your own tools for inspection and machine adjustment Able to stand, bend, and lift for an 8+ hour shift Why Work With Us: Steady, full-time hours Team-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to process improvement Be a valued part of a production team that makes high-quality parts Apply Today - Start Immediately!
