The Counseling Clinical Supervisor reports to the Clinical Director and ensures effective and consistent clinical practice across the Counseling Program team through supervisory and management activities. The role provides administrative and clinical oversight to Masters-level clinicians providing therapy services in accordance with best practices. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise 2 to 4 FTEs, up to 4 master's level interns, and 4 to 6 Contract Therapists. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all service needs for an assigned caseload, maintaining a minimum of 10 consumers and providing at least 10 billable hours weekly. Provide face-to-face clinical supervision based on MHRS and FSMHC regulations, ensuring quality services. Document supervision notes and client progress in Credible EHR within established timelines. Guide staff on clinical functions and provide crisis intervention as needed. Review and approve weekly service encounters and progress notes. Manage counseling services, including strategic planning for various clinics. Review and complete annual Diagnostic Assessments for ongoing services. Maintain credentials such as CAQH, NPI, and Maximus. Document billing activities for the counseling caseload. Develop and implement quality improvement activities. Participate in weekly clinical rounds and required meetings. Rotating on-call staff coverage. Complete required training, including DBH Officer Agent training. Stay updated on policies and regulations affecting behavioral health services. Perform other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or related human services field. For social work, a license (LICSW) in D.C. or relevant clinical license. At least 4 years of direct service experience in mental health settings. At least 3 years of clinical supervision experience. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Strong spoken communication skills in English and Spanish. Ability to work effectively with diverse staff, volunteers, and clients.
