Solenis is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals focused on delivering sustainable solutions for water-intensive industries. The purpose of the I&E Technician position is to safely repair and maintain the plant electrical and instrumentation equipment to meet the safety, reliability, and productivity objectives of the Pasadena Site. Primary Role Responsibilities: Maintain strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations, rules, and procedures. Promote continual improvement of safety and asset reliability through equipment, job plan, and procedure revisions. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair site electrical equipment. Work safely on AC distribution systems from 12k volts to 120 volts. Installation, calibration, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment and instrumentation. Support the sites electrical reliability program. Identify, interpret and effectively use drawings and documentation related to electrical and process controls. Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot field instrumentation. Support Plant Operations to minimize production impacts and enhance reliability. Develop knowledge and use of required computer software. Quality Assurance: Provide effective repairs to avoid callbacks. Expedite the repair of all plant I/E equipment and perform in a quality manner. Assure compliance with ISO requirements. Quality Responsibility: Maintenance of ISO certifications for the businesses by complying with processes, procedures and instructions for all activities. Safety Responsibility: Is knowledgeable and complies with all pertinent safety policies, rules and regulations. Skill Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years working experience in electrical and/or process instrumentation trades in Chemical or Petrochemical process plant environments. OR Completion of a 2-Year technical degree or higher education in Industrial Electrical, Instrumentation, or similar program is preferred. Minimum 3 years working experience in the process instrumentation and/or electrical trades. Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred. Plan and work independently with little supervision. Working Conditions: Plant, shop and Office Environment. Ability to perform essential functions including lifting up to 55 pounds, climbing ladders, working on elevated platforms and in confined areas. This position works a 4/10 schedule and must be on call every 3 weeks. We understand that candidates will not meet every single desired qualification.
