Lead Oracle APEX Developer
to join the ESA V program. This program provides vital IT applications and infrastructure services to multiple clients within the Department of Justice (DOJ). The role encompasses software application support, enterprise infrastructure support, and a variety of IT services. We are looking for a candidate who is not only talented but also personable and dedicated to meeting customer needs swiftly and effectively. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional communication skills are essential for interacting with customers to gather their requirements and translate them into actionable plans. This position requires onsite attendance 5 days a week in the Washington, DC metro area at one of the primary customer (CRM) locations. Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with the program manager to oversee the complete lifecycle of custom Oracle Applications development, primarily utilizing the Oracle APEX toolset. Expertly employ Oracle APEX 21 and above for advanced development tasks. Utilize Oracle Integrated Development Environments such as Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer effectively. Design and dynamically manipulate web content using JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Create dynamic reports within the Oracle APEX environment and provide advanced support for Oracle Database products version 11 and above. Administer Oracle database objects such as tables, indexes, directories, and triggers. Support development using PL/SQL, Java, Windows PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting, showcasing familiarity with built-in PL/SQL packages and procedures. Manage unstructured data (BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, XMLType) efficiently within an Oracle environment. Integrate and manage BI Publisher templates and web services. Deliver enterprise-level workflow-centric applications successfully. Develop logical functions and algorithms to automate various business processes. Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree combined with at least 8 years of relevant experience. A High School diploma plus extensive experience and/or certifications may be considered instead of a degree. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Ability to secure and maintain a public trust security clearance. Experience with secure network programming in an Oracle environment, including the use of security certificates and HTTPS callouts. Proficient in the full lifecycle of custom Oracle Applications development, particularly with the Oracle APEX toolset. Experience with Oracle Integrated Development Environments such as Quest Toad and Oracle SQL Developer. Strong working knowledge of JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Experience in PL/SQL, Java, Windows PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting, with a good understanding of built-in PL/SQL packages and procedures. Capability to store, retrieve, and manipulate unstructured data (BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, XMLType) effectively in Oracle databases. Ability to establish goals and meet project objectives consistently. Proficient in writing and maintaining system documentation for work products. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Experience interfacing with customers to understand and address their needs. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle Database products version 11 and above. Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports version 10G or higher. Experience with Oracle APEX 4.0 and above. Ability to troubleshoot operational issues effectively. Experience with government contracting, particularly within the DOJ. Current DOJ Clearance is a plus. Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00 This pay range is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Factors influencing offers may include job responsibilities, education, relevant experience, and market alignment.
